Robot Sentry

Every sector needs a sentry.

One per row. One per column. No two touching.

You've probably seen it: the same cat puzzle ad, every few videos, every day. I blocked it more than once. It kept coming back.

The puzzle underneath is a good one. I already knew it from LinkedIn's Queens. So I built my own.

  • Touching includes diagonals.
  • Tap a square once for ✕ (no robot here), again for a robot, a third time to clear it.
  • Keyboard: arrow keys move, Enter or Space changes a square.

Any size from 6×6 to 10×10, Easy to Hard. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and you can send any board to a friend.

No ads. No forced tutorial. Just the puzzle.

Demo: on a 5 by 5 board, robots are posted one per row, column and sector, with ✕ marks on the squares the first robot rules out; a robot posted diagonally next to another is outlined in red, then moved two squares left, and the last robot secures the board.
